Peter Skene Ogden Eagles senior girls volleyball team is undefeated this year.

The 100 Mile House squad has played twice against Williams Lake so far and won both times.

The Eagles hosted the first meeting on Oct. 18 and won two out of three games. On Oct. 19, they travelled to Williams Lake and won a five-game match by taking three out of five games.

We were pretty evenly matched in the end,” says assistant coach Lori Meville.

Our girls have good skills and are starting to come together as a team. Coach Lisa Crompton and I have been working them really hard on positioning and teamwork in a system that is new to all of them, as well as individual skills.”

The new system involves working with a setter who comes up from the back row rather than the front row.

Of the 19 girls on the team, 11 are in Grade 11, so it is their first year in the senior division.

This year the girls are competing in the AA Division, so there are only three teams competing. Their opponents are Lake CitySecondary School from Williams Lake and Correlieu Secondary School from Quesnel.
