Cross-country challenges completed

100 Mile Nordics Ski Society's cross-country challenges wind up

The 100 Mile Nordics Ski Society’s 500- and 300-kilometre Challenge has wrapped up for the season.

This year’s Challenge program was organized by Deb Summers.

She added a team component for the 500-km challenge so teams of two could combine the kilometres they skied, but would have to share any prizes they were awarded.

Summers also added a 300-km challenge for those who wanted to participate, but didn’t have the time to complete 500 km. The additions proved to be very popular with the cross-country skiers.

“Good job to everyone who got out skiing and I hope you met your personal goals or at least enjoyed a little skiing this year,” says Summers.

Several people completed the 500 km.

Individuals: Janet Wright, Brad Summers, Troy Monkman, Tracy Moore and Gary Carlson.

Teams: Lauren Bock and Bruce Nicolson, and Kirsty and Ryan Bock.

Summers completed the 300-km challenge.
