108 lady golfers take the good with the bad

Golfers can only hope sunshine will make an appearance soon

The 108 Golf Resort ladies club members got nine holes in before the rain moved in on June 13.

While some people played on, most opted for an early dinner at the Tatton Room. They called their format Stanley in honour of the Stanley Cup finals and game 6. The 27 players only counted the scores from holes starting with a letter in Stanley.

 

First flight

Annie McKave was first, while Heather Matsuda and Susan Skidmore were second and third respectively.

Cathy Waite won the Par pot, while McKave captured the Birdie pot

 

Second flight

Linda Hames was first, followed by Maureen Menzies and Pam Dutchak.

Pauline Weigelt grabbed the Par pot, but the Birdie pot was carried over.

 

Third flight

Corinne French took first, with Shirley Garrow second and Lynn Smeds third.

Debbie Garrow won the Par pot and the Birdie pot was carried over.

Team points saw Red and Yellow tied at eight points, Green with nine and Blue tipping the scales at 21 points.

 

Nice evening

The 24 golfers who attended finally got some good weather at Ladies Night on June 6.

The game was a combo of low-net score and number of putts.

 

First flight

Joanne Garrow won this group, with Clara Koehn second and Annie McKave third.

Koehn captured the Par pot and shared the Birdie pot with Linda Hames.

 

Second flight

Patsy Wilkinson, Lorraine McCaffrey and Pauline Weigelt finished in the top 3 positions.

Wilkinson took home the Par pot and the Birdie pot was carried over.

 

Third flight

Gloria Corno captured the honours with Wendy Foster second and followed by Marie Weeden and Nancy Minato

Corno also won Par pot and the Birdie pot was carried over.

Team scores saw Red with nine points, Yellow at 19, Green taking four and Blue     finishing with eight.
