100 Mile Men's Fastball League playoff championship knotted at one apiece

Jakes Pub shortstop Greg Lund had to jump for the ball during the attempt to pick off Red Rock Avenger Mike Hopkins who successfully slid into second base during game 2 of the 100 Mile Men's Fastball League playoff championship. Jakes won the first game 8-7 and Red Rock took game 2 by an 8-1 score to force a third and deciding game on July 25

It will be a sudden-death game on July 25 to see which team is crowned the playoff champions in the 100 Mile Men's Fastball League.

On July 22, Jakes Pub, which finished in first place in league play, took game 1 of the playoffs 8-7 against the Red Rock Avengers, which placed third in league play.

However, Red Rock tied the best-of-three series with an 8-1 romp the following night.

The stands should be filled for the game 3 rubber match at Lumberman's Park (end of Airport Road) on July 25, starting at 6:30 p.m.
