Although the 100 Mile House Wranglers played with great intensity against Chase Heat in Kootenay International Junior Hockey League action in Chase, they lost 5-2.

Coach/general manager Doug Rogers says it was repeat of the same story that has been plaguing the Wranglers for the past couple of weeks – they get a lot of chances but just can't bury the puck.

"We outshot them 37-20 for the game and 19-5 in the first period. We can't find the back of the net, but it's not due to lack of effort."

Darcy Flaherty scored both goals for the Wranglers.

There are no complaints on the players work ethic again, Rogers adds.

"We need the bounces to start to go our way and they will eventually, as a result of the players' hard work.

After the game, the Wranglers headed home to host the Revelstoke Grizzlies in back-to-back games, Oct. 12 and 13.

Finally, some of the bounces started going in the Wranglers' favour and they recorded their first two home-game victories.

They knocked off the Grizzlies 8-3 on Saturday night and were back on the ice at noon on Sunday and took 6-5 overtime victory.
