Women's Centre hosting planning meeting

Collaboration to submit project proposal to stop violence against women, girls

The 100 Mile House & District Women’s Centre is extending an open invitation to any community organization, governing body or others who may be interested in working collaboratively with the Women’s Centre to submit a project proposal to the Status of Women, a branch of the Canadian government.

This meeting is a brainstorming session about how those interested can work together towards ending violence against women and girls, says Women's Centre executive director Sonja Ramsay.

The eligibility criteria of the call for proposals will be reviewed, discussed and ideas can then come forward about how to work with one another and how we may be able to effect change in 100 Mile House as a result of our efforts.

The meeting will be on March 4 at 1 p.m. in the South Cariboo Business Centre (475 Birch Ave.) boardroom.

Participants should bring their own coffee or tea or other refreshments.
