The Lodge made list

Interior nomination for 100 Best Buildings Contest

The Architecture Foundation of BC launched B.C.’s 100 Best Buildings Contest at the recent Buildex 2014 event.

The purpose of the contest is to recognize the impact and influence that buildings have had over the past 100 years.

The foundation invited folks to share and celebrate their favourite building regardless of purpose, age or materials and received nominations online. Each submission included a photograph of the building, its address and a name associated with the building.

The Lodge in 100 Mile House was one of the buildings nominated for the British Columbia Interior category and now it is time for folks to vote for The Lodge before the deadline at 4 p.m. on Sept. 28.

The website address is http://www.architecturefoundationbc.ca/best-buildings-entries-for-voting/. The Lodge is #255 in the BC Interior Nominations section.

At the end of the voting period, the top 25 in each region will be submitted to a judging panel whose members will choose the top 3 from each region. The winning buildings will receive award plaques.
