Teachers' union calls for compromise

Strike action hits home for students and families

School teachers continued rotating, one-day strike action this week. In 100 Mile House, schools were closed Monday.

B.C. Teachers' Federation (BCTF) president Jim Iker says Premier Christy Clark must free up resources to bring about an agreement.

However, Education Minister Peter Fassbender points the finger at the BCTF, and says he wants to "break that cycle of dysfunction."
