Learn how to apply for funding

Free workshops on BC Community Gaming Grants available to public

The Northern Interior Communities Association (NICA) is delivering a series of grant-writing workshops in the Cariboo region next week.

These workshops are geared towards organizations applying to the BC Community Gaming Grant program. Attendees will learn how to write and submit a successful application to the program, which funds arts and culture, sports, public safety, environment, and social programs.

A workshop is being held in 100 Mile House at the District of 100 Mile House office – council chambers, 385 Birch Ave. on Oct. 19.

Each workshop will have a presentation on the B.C. Gaming Grant programs, including instructions on how to write a successful funding application to these programs from 9:30 a.m. to noon.

Following this, 30-minute one-on-one consultation sessions with the co-ordinator will be available from 1 p.m. onwards. Sessions will be offered on a first come, first served basis.

These workshops are being offered free-of-charge for the benefit of community non-profit societies and charities, though participation is welcomed by any and all community members.

For more information on these workshops, contact Curtis Mayes, NICA co-ordinator at 250-562-2553, or e-mail: coordinator@northernica.org.
