The current 100 Mile & District General Hospital Ladies Auxiliary is carrying on with the good work of the Ladies Auxiliary

The 100 Mile & District General Hospital Ladies Auxiliary is celebrating 50 years of serving the South Cariboo – from 1966 to 2016.

The Ladies Auxiliary is hosting a luncheon in the Multi-purpose Room at the 100 Mile District General Hospital on June 1, starting at 1 p.m.

The Ladies Auxiliary is inviting all previous members to the luncheon to celebrate 50 years of serving the hospital and the community.

There is no cost to attend the luncheon and it is a way for the current members to thank current and past members for all of their contributions over the years.

Former members who wish to attend are asked to reply to Lynn Landry at 250-791-5300 by May 26.

Fundraising spirit

The Hospital Auxiliary holds a garage sale every year and it is one of its main fundraising efforts to buying equipment for the hospital.

It is usually held in the summer. This year, however, the Ladies Auxiliary decided to tie it in with the 50th anniversary celebration.

The garage sale will be in the main (front) parking lot of the hospital at 555 Cedar Ave. from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on June 4.

Come out and see what goodies they have and help them purchase much-needed equipment for the hospital.

Donations will be accepted by calling Mina Ellsworth at 250-791-6750 for drop-off locations.
