Chopper crashes near No Name Lakes

Pilot was lone occupant and was conscious when found

A helicopter crashed near No Name Lakes northeast of Canim Lake and off the 7200 Road around 2:30 p.m. today (Sept. 2).

The pilot was the lone occupant of the helicopter and was reported to be conscious with some chest pain complaints.

Medical rescue vehicles were on their way to the crash site.

BC Ambulance Service was scrambling one of its helicopters. It was note there was a good landing area near crash site.
