To the editor:
I’m writing on behalf of a group of 108 Mile residents.
We live in the 108 Mile Ranch and are dog owners, who regularly go walking with our dogs.
What we have seen, especially around Sepa Lake, and also on the roads in the neighbourhood, is anything but nice. It is disgusting. Dog poop is everywhere.
How can that be?
It is so easy to carry small doggy bags and clean up after your dog. There are also trash cans provided around Sepa Lake.
There are those who think of themselves as smart, who cover the poop with snow. Maybe they think it disappears immediately, but it does not. Not at all.
Later, other walkers find themselves with a stinky mess on their shoes.
This is not fun, and we think it is absolutely disrespectful towards all other people who want to go for a walk and enjoy our beautiful area.
