Vern passed away peacefully at the age of 93 in Kamloops, B.C. on Nov. 27, 2020. Vern was born in Saskatoon, Sask. on Feb. 27, 1927. He was a veteran.
He married Helen Nurmi in 1947 in B.C. In 1956 he moved with his family to the Cariboo to run a resort.
He was also a hunting guide, logger, sawyer, rancher, catskinner, owner of a trucking business and a builder of many homes. His hobby was making violins and mandolins.
He and his wife Helen were snowbirds for 30 years. He leaves behind his wife Helen of 73 years, son David (Laura), daughter Linda (Roger), grandson Chris and three great grandchildren.
He will be sadly missed.
