July 7, 1931 - Dec. 13, 2006
Ted passed away in Kamloops Hospital Dec. 13, 2006 at age 75. He will be remembered and missed by his wife, lover and friend of 55 years, Helen. He was the best dad ever to Laura (Merv) Tompkins, Shelly (Frank) Diggens and son Grant (predeceased 1993); brother to Kay Watt; brother-in-law to Frances (Duncan) Tidmarsh; grandfather to Heather, Stuart, Shayna and Matt; and great grandfather to Owen, Makayla, Cole and Spencer. ‘Uncle Ted’ to numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews and just ‘Ted’ to his many friends. Ted believed laughter was the best medicine and was the recepient of it many times with his broken bones adventures and his elastic band fiasco.
“It was a great ride, Ted!”

Do not stand by my grave
and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow
I am a diamond glint on snow
I am the sunlight on ripened grain
I am the gentle Autumn rain.
When you awake in the
morning hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circling flight
I am the soft starshine at night
Do not stand by my grave and cry
I am not there… I did not die.
