It is with deep sadness and regret that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Robert Wayne Hughes, known by his family and friends as Wayne. Born in Victoria, B.C. on May 26, 1952, he left this earth to be in the hands of his Lord on March 14, 2005. He had a deep passion and love for his Nascar racing, music, fishing, playing pool and his pets. He was deeply committed to his family and friends. Wayne leaves behind his wife Lynne, his son and family, Rod & Sherry Vanc, grandsons Leif and Tyson; mother Alice Hughes; father Les Hughes; mother-in-law Toni Coulter; sister-in-law and family, Brenda & Lyle Rose; brother-in-law and family, Les & Melody Coulter; son-in-law and family Mike & Christina Wolfe and grandson Cameron; son-in-law Karl Wolfe. Also he leaves behind his very special friends John & Fran Vezina and Rob Vanderbyle and other friends and acquaintances which are far too many to be named. He touched each and everyone in a special way. May he now rest in peace with the assurance all will be fine. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
