November 10, 1954 - October 16, 2020
It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden death of Bob Mclauchlin (Butcher Bob).
Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Bob was so much more than that.
He lifted us up off our feet, dusted us off, and taught us how to carry on.
He always encouraged us to be our best and learn from our mistakes. He was our idol, our hero and our inspiration.
He made us who we are and we are stronger because of him.
Bob fell in love with the 100 Mile House area through his years of camping here with his family. It became his dream to move to the area with his wife and kids and in 1990 he made that dream come true.
As his family grew, he worked odd jobs until opening a business of his own, making friends that became family and enjoying his life in the Cariboo. He will forever be looking out for us and all he cared for.
Bob is survived by his wife Sandra Lyn and children Keith, Craig (Sara), Mitchell (Danielle), Kadie Dufresne (Alex); grandchildren Tiara DeHaan, Jaden Mclauchlin, Cameron Dufresne, Thomas Mclauchlin, Kai Dufresne, George Mclauchlin and Addilyn Mclauchlin; siblings Darlene (Orville) Hawrish, Cindy (Gord) Kruyer, Glen (Cindy) Mclauchlin and his many nieces and nephews and their families.
He made us laugh till we cried and was always the life of the party. He will be deeply missed by all. The family will be having a small gathering this fall for immediate family only.
When the times have changed we will hold a celebration of life for all wanting to attend.
