April 1, 1937 - February 23, 2020
It is with deep sadness that the family of Reginald Berrington announces his peaceful passing at the age of 82 years on February 23, 2020. A compassionate husband, proud father, and faith-filled man, Reg will be missed by his wife Eleanor and his children Paul (Judith), David (Daphne), Deanna (Bruce), Coralee and eight grandchildren Andrew, Tyler, Nathan, Dylan, Kameryn, Brysen, Kenzie, and Carter.
Reg was born on April 1st, 1937 in Nottingham, England to parents Thomas Arthur Berrington and Freda (nee Halford). Reg immigrated to Canada in 1959 and settled in Vancouver. As a skilled trades man Reg worked with his hands as a ship builder, project manager, and building maintenance supervisor. In his spare time he was deeply devoted to his work with Scouting, Lions, Rotary Clubs, and Psalm 23.
Reg and Elanor moved to 108 Mile House in 2007 from Victoria. Reg loved living in the Cariboo and continued to find joy working with his hands in his workshop creating Adirondack chairs, renovating their home, reading, or sharing a story with his coffee club. His love, laughter, and friendship will be missed by many!
The memorial service for Reg is cancelled due to COVID-19. The family would like to thank Dr. Ramorsata for his loving care, the staff at the 100 Mile House hospital, and all of his friends for their kind and supportive words.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the 100 Mile House District General Hospital Foundation.
