Penny entered 100 Mile Hospital on July 23, 2010, and she returned to her home at Lac La Hache on August 6th. She passed away at home on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at 8:05 p.m.
She was predeceased by her father Gaston Bauche, and her brother Richard Bauche.
Penny is survived by her husband Stephen Kovacs, daughter Kim Kovacs, son Gregory Kovacs, grandson Austin Kovacs Dellow, her mother Cecile Bauche, three sisters Gwenda Butcher, Mariam Buckland, Lori Bauche Ballan, one brother Robert Bauche, and by her favorite dog Maxi.
A Celebration of Life service will be held for family and friends at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at the Kovacs family home, Lac La Hache.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The 100 Mile SPCA, Box 1948,100 Mile House, BC, V0K 2E0, or to the South Cariboo Health Foundation, Bag 399,100 Mile House, BC, V0K 2E0.
The Kovacs family would like to thank Gayle Christianson and the nursing staff of 100 Mile Hospital. Fay Martens and nurses of the Home and Community Care, and to Diane Knight and the rest of Home Support. A special thank you to Dr. Street for his compassionate care in Penny’s last days.
