Patricia Ann Bird (Fitzner) born November 6, 1940 passed away shortly after her 83rd birthday on November 14, 2023.
She is predeceased by her husband John Bird who she was married to for over 60 years. Patricia was born in Vancouver BC and moved to Canim Lake in the early 1970's.
She is survived by her two children Sandra and Stuart (Heather), her two sisters Adele (Andy) and Marilyn (Gary) and brother Bill (Rose), five grandchildren Brittany (Nathan), Jennifer(Kyle), Colleen (Tim), Connor, Kyle(Sam), and two great grandchildren Vailynn and Colten.
Patricia was a hairdresser who owned and operated the Golden Scissors Salon in 100 Mile House for many years with her close friend and business partner Sue.
She was strong, kind, funny, and loving. She always enjoyed a meal with her family gathered around the table.
The family would like to give special thanks to Sandra and Iggy, who lovingly cared for Pat for many years after her husband John's passing. The family would also like to thank Brittany, Colleen and Heather and the Copper Island Care team for their support in her final days
A celebration of life is being held on Saturday, December 2nd, 2023 at 1:30pm at the cemetery in 100 Mile.
She will be laid to rest next to John.
