November 6, 1930 - October 26, 2023

In loving memory ~

It is with great sadness that Neil Russell Law passed away peacefully on October 26, 2023.

He is survived by his loving wife Joan, son Lloyd (Diana), and daughters Maureen (Cliff) and Sandy, as well as his sister Marjorie and brother Dale (Ingrid), and his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Neil was born November 6, 1930, to Florence and Cecil Law in Carlee, Saskatchewan. As a young man, he moved to B.C. and loved it so he stayed.

He met his wife Joan in Clinton and they married on April 6, 1956. They spent 67 wonderful years together.

Neil built his excavation business; Neil Law Excavating, and did lots of work in the district, putting in Hydro poles and septic fields. One of the neighbourhood kids' favourite memories was getting a ride in the bucket of the backhoe when he returned from work, he would stop at the stop sign at the beginning of Blackstock Subdivision, and all the kids would run up, climb on the bucket, and he would lift the bucket and drive home with all the kids inside.

Neil enjoyed camping, playing pool with his buddies, and picking guitar with his friends and family. Neil never took lessons, he self-taught, and was really good at it, he could also play the violin, accordion, mandolin, and banjo as well but loved the guitar the most.

He also built a skating rink in the backyard for the kids to play hockey.

Neil will be forever remembered for his creative knowledge of fixing things that didn't work, his sense of humour, his love of guitar, and playing pool.

His family extends their deepest gratitude to the staff, nurses and doctors at the 100 Mile Hospital who took such good care of him.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the 100 Mile House Hospital Auxiliary or 100 Mile Hospice Society.

RIP Neil, we love you.
