Melissa passed away peacefully at the 100 Mile Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Montreal, she had spent many years on the coast with her husband Frank, raising his son and working towards their dream.
In 2010 Melissa and Frank moved to Lone Butte, in the Cariboo to live on what was their piece of paradise.
Although her time was short, she spent it absorbing her surroundings. Melissa’s kind gentle ways, generosity, zest for life and genuine love and care of Frank, his son, her two Arabian horses, dogs, cats, family and friends will be greatly missed. Her photography allows us to not only keep her in our hearts, but in our minds eye as well. Melissa’s spirit will live on with her life partner Frank Colbert, her Sisters, family, special friends and the animals she so cared for. She touched all and to say she will be missed doesn’t seem enough, but know for some, she will never be gone.
