Mary Patricia MacLeod of Comox BC, passed away suddenly on March 5, 2020. Pat, as she was known to her family & friends, was born to the late Daniel and Noelie Vittery on Oct 15,1937. Pat graduated from Magee Secondary School in 1955 before attending the University of British Columbia, where she studied education. She had a long teaching career in Vancouver and the Cariboo region of BC. Pat was married to Dana Fraser (Vancouver, BC) from 1958 until 1977 and they had three children. Pat was then married to Brent Rutherford (108 Mile House), followed by Marvin Poole (108 Mile House), who sadly passed away 1992. Pat was lucky in love again when she met and married Don MacLeod (Bowen Island, BC) in 1998. Pat was predeceased by her son Robert Fraser (1993) and husbands Marvin Poole and Don Macleod. Pat is survived by her two sisters, Jean Allen (John) and Joyce Davies (Bill) as well her two daughters, Lynda Smith (David) and Susie Greene (Allan). Pat has 3 grandchildren, Shannyn Hollander (Edmond), Chad Smith, Jacob Smith (Kaitie) and her 5 great-grand children Charles Smith, Annaleigh Hollander, Paisley Smith, Connor Hollander and Fraser Smith. Pat will be remembered for her passionate teaching, fun loving spirit and creative soul.
At her request, there will be a Celebration of Life later this summer. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada.
