Lorna Irene Strabel passed peacefully at her home surrounded by loving family on the morning of Dec 3rd 2023.
Called to heaven this day by our Lord, Lorna is survived by her son Wayne, daughters Connie (Bill) and Janet; grandchildren Karina Lucas (Ian), Geordie Strabel (Leanne), Christopher Parno (Lynn), Jennifer Tranter (Greg), Dustin Strabel (Kelsey), Carmen Strabel; great grandchildren Emily/Chloe Lucas, Seth Strabel, Dextyn/ Tayden Parno, Sadie/Lexi/Landon Tranter, Kayden/Carson Strabel; and many nephews and nieces.
Lorna was predeceased by her husband Maurice and 15 brothers and sisters.
Lorna Strabel was born March 28th, 1932 in Stoney Plain, AB. On June 2nd, 1950 she would marry the love of her life, in 2007 they celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary. She loved being a mother and when her first grandchild arrived, she fully embraced her role as Grandma.
Lorna devoted her life to her family. The memories, smiles and traditions she has given her family will be cherished for many years to come.
A funeral service will be held at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church (18 Selkirk Blvd, Red Deer, AB Tel. 403-346-3798) at noon on Wednesday February 14th, 2024 with a luncheon to follow.
She was an angel on earth and will be dearly missed by her friends and family.
