Kathleen M. WATERHOUSE

April 18, 2006

January 20, 1914 to April 18, 2006

Kathy set forth on her journey in life as the only child of William and Winifred Harrison. She grew up in a place called Rock Park, England. In 1941 during the Second World War, Kathy joined the Wrens Corp. and served on the HMS Irwell. There she met her very dear and long time friend Doreen Earlam. After the war Kathy met and married Fred Waterhouse. In 1954 Kathy and her family immigrated to Vancouver, B.C. Fred’s job took them north to Williams Lake. They started up their own newspaper, the Williams Lake Times. They became members of our community when they moved to the 108 Ranch. Kathy lived the last few years of her life in 100 Mile. Her kindness, wisdom, and generosity of spirit will be genuinely missed. Kathy was predeceased by: Fred Waterhouse (husband) and Terry Waterhouse (son). She is survived by Patricia Hawk (daughter-in-law), Emily Hawk (granddaughter) of Toronto, Ont.; Joan Davey (cousin) and Avril Derbyshire (niece) of Calgary. A celebration of Kathleen’s life was held April 26, 2006 at Carefree Manor.
