Joe passed away at Comox Valley Hospital after two months of illness.
Predeceased by wife Gladys, brother John and sister Margaret, he is survived by nieces Linda (Bob) Bunyard of Palm Desert, CA and Barbara Franck of Comox, BC.
Born in Victoria, Joe was a carpenter for most of his working life. After he retired, he lived in Lone Butte for about 10 years.
In 2007, following heart by-pass surgery, he split his time between his home base of Comox BC, living with Barbara, and visiting Linda & Bob in Grass Valley CA.
He enjoyed 43 years of sobriety and 25 years of retirement.
His legacy is one of kindness, generosity and humour.
He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.
