June 12, 1939 - April 17, 2009
On April 17, 2009, Edgar put on his possible bag and with his Hawken on his shoulder, headed for that last Rendezvous.
Edgar’s first love was his family; Judy his wife and son Tod. He was friends with most everyone he met. His next two loves were guns and horses. Even though they bit him, kicked him and threw him in the dirt, he loved every horse he had anything to do with. He once said, “he would ride a horse to the outhouse if that were possible.” A lot of time
was spent riding one while looking after cattle, guiding and hunting. He couldn’t ride a horse fishing, but he would have if it walked on water. As far as guns go, he knew more about how they worked and what pieces they needed when they would not work than most of us. He had owned more than a few in his life time.
Edgar was a true friend, we will all miss you. So when you get to Rendezvous, keep the campfire burning and the coffee on for your many friends and family will one day join you.
Edgar is survived by his wife Judy, son Tod and his wife Teri, and grandchildren Ellen Lansing, Devon and Jesse Almas.
Edgar requested no service or celebration.
