Sadly, after a long series of health setbacks, Betty passed on in the early evening of March 9, 2011. By her side and holding her hand to the end, her husband, Murray, supported her always. They quietly celebrated their 60th on Dec. 29th. Mourning her are their children, Laurie, Sherri and Doug; grandchildren, Brandi, Kyle, Christy and Kelly; their families throughout lower B.C. and Alberta; brother Don & Joan and family of Madeira Park, Bev & Lorne of Surrey and their family. Betty was predeceased by her parents, Ethel and Bertram, and her brother Barry. She is remembered by numerous friends in both Vancouver, Sheridan Lake and throughout the world.

Betty travelled extensively throughout her younger years with best friend Joyce Brown and always had a story and a laugh to share of her adventures. Murray’s affiliation with Canadian Airlines allowed them both to explore the world together. Wherever he was, her bag was packed and ready to go. Hawaii was the destination of choice many times. Liking the Cariboo, they purchased their first property on Sheridan Lake in 1967.

The family greatly thanks everyone at Fischer Place, the 100 Mile House Hospital, her doctors, nurses and caregivers for their love and care and most of all for being a support for our dad.

No service by request. A cremation and scattering of her ashes will be decided at a later date.

Mahalo and Aloha, we love you.
