Henry Blochl, age 79, died peacefully at his home, Saturday, August 4, 2018.
He was born in Passau, Germany, and grew up with two brothers who predeceased him. As a young adult he travelled the world as a ship's cook, eventually settling in Vancouver and working as a chef at the Schnitzel House.
Henry's passion for the outdoors and rural life drew him to the interior of BC, and he moved with his family to 100 Mile House in the 1970's. He was employed with the Ainsworth Lumber Company until retirement. In the following years, Henry enjoyed his independence and solitude, working on his land, and helping his neighbours.
He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Cindy; son-in-law, Paul and grandsons, Jack and Miles.
