On Sept. 23, 2005 Mr. Giuseppe ‘Joe’ Mezzatesta passed away peacefully at Kamloops, B.C. at the age of 80 years. Joe is survived by his four daughters: Maria Mawhinney, Vancouver, B.C.; Michelle McDonald, Bellingham, Wash.; Teresa Johnston, Mission Viejo, Calif. and Angela Mezzatesta, Quesnel, B.C.; his three sons: Frank, Victoria, B.C.; Bruno, Kingston, Ont. and Ben, Kamloops, B.C.; nineteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He is also remembered by his sister Carmela Mezzatesta. Joe was born in Bovolino, Italy on January 2, 1925. He came to Canada in 1952 and lived his life in British Columbia. He enjoyed the outdoors and cherished his grandchildren. The Reverend Father Peter Nguyen celebrated the Mass of Christian Burial on Sept. 27, 2005 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Kamloops.
