Gerhard "Gary" Lauchli died peacefully on January 15, 2023, in 100 Mile District General Hospital. He was 74.
Gary is survived by his wife, Susan and daughter, Melissa.
He was born on June 22, 1948, in Villnachern, Switzerland to parents, Hans and Gertrude.
In 1968, He immigrated to Canada, starting out in Vancouver. In the mid '70s, he discovered the Cariboo and fell in love with it. He loved the outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing and most of all, mushrooming. He loved to garden and revel in the beautiful flowers he grew.
He was an avid reader and writer, who mesmerized you with tales of his adventures.
We would like to extend our utmost gratitude to the kind nurses in acute care, especially Jaden, Diana, Kylie and Jillian who kept Gary comfortable until the end.
