In loving memory ~
It is with profound sadness that we mourn the passing of Gerald (Gerry) Calvin Schwab. Gerry, oh, so suddenly left us on November 21, 2023, at the age of 75.
He will be deeply missed by the love of his life, his wife of almost 50 years, Fayette, and the three other girls in his life, his daughters Vanessa, Jennifer (Eric), and Natasha (Kevin). His loving grandchildren that will forever miss and cherish him: Christopher, Alexandra, Nathan, Ashtyn, Jordan, Olivia, Kayden, Jaxx, and Markus. Loved and deeply missed by his only sister, Helen (Jake), as well as many nieces and nephews, extended family members, and friends in Canada and Australia.
He will forever be remembered for his welcoming smile, infectious laugh, warm heart, and kind and gentle spirit. His passion for sports was like no other, with 2 TV's, a radio, and a cell phone all going at the same time, all with a different game on (just ask his wife!). He loved the Braves, Canucks, and BC Lions (and pressure from grandkids to support the Blue Jays). Some of his own personal accomplishments were completing an Ironman, triathlons, marathons, and coaching his 3 daughters in softball. Some of his favourite hobbies were fishing, camping, kayaking, woodworking, and playing crib. He enjoyed the camaraderie of his weekly crib group at the community senior centre as well as teaching his grandkids how to play. Gerry was well respected throughout his professional career as a systems analyst.
He had a passion like no other for supporting and loving his family.
