In loving memory ~

George Robert MacDonald was born in North Vancouver on September 29, 1928, and was the second youngest of eight children, all predeceased. Leaving high school, George worked both in the shipyards and on the log boom before heading up to the Cariboo.

He married the love of his life, Eva Noreen (Nee Wright) April 25, 1953 (predeceased) and is survived by their five children — four daughters: Kathy (Pete Vogelaar), Jo-Anne (Larry Maki), Colleen (Bob DeAngelis), Georgina (Edward Camilleri), and son Tom MacDonald, as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

George found his career in the logging industry, driving a logging truck and then as a faller. He loved people, sharing stories, and playing musical instruments. George was known to freely give his time to help others, without thinking of himself. He had a saying, "You take yourself wherever you go" and he lived by it. His bright smile and great sense of humor will both be missed and cherished.
