In Loving Memory (1953-2024) ~
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of a father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend.
Gary is survived by his daughter, Kim, grandchildren Payton and Keenan, brother Dennis (Troudy), sisters Carolyn and Bonnie, nephew Anthony and niece Adriana.
He was predeceased by his parents Nick and Tina Kowaliuk and brother Greg.
Gary was born and raised in Alberta and graduated from U of A in 1975 with a Bachelor of Education Degree. He moved to 100 Mile House, B.C in 1977 where he taught, coached, and made lifelong friends. Gary moved to Williams Lake in mid 1980's. In later years, he spent the winter months in Mexico.
Gary was a strong and gentle man who loved playing hockey, fastball, curling and pool, hunting fishing, camping and his dogs. He was a devoted teacher and coach, highly regarded by his students.
He will not be forgotten.
