It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Frank Quast.
Frank passed away peacefully in his home at 108 Mile Ranch, on January 8, 2013. He was predeceased by his wife, Shirley, as well as his son, Randy.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Shari and Tom Bachynski; his sisters Helen (Ralph) Jones, Ollie Sieben; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Frank was born near Hanna, Alberta and grew up in Canoe, B.C. He and his wife, Shirley, spent 28 years in Surrey, B.C., before returning to The Shuswap area, retiring in the community of Seymour Arm. After Shirley’s passing, Frank moved to the 100 Mile House area.
A tribute will be held to honour Frank on February 2nd, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in the Valley Room, behind the historic 100 Mile Lodge, 100 Mile House.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in Frank’s name to the 100 Mile House Hospice Palliative Care Society, 555 Cedar Ave, Bag 399, 100 Mile House, BC V0K 2E0, would be greatly appreciated.
