A true gentleman

Sept. 14, 1921 – Jan 30, 2011

Frank was born in Lancashire, England. He served in the R.A.F. during the second world war, training in South Africa as an aircrew navigator. He later lived for 35 years in Tenterden, Kent but after many trips to Canada he and his wife Dorreen decided in 1994 to retire to 100 Mile House where family lived.

Sports were a big part of Frank’s life – he was an avid cricketer and golfer. He was interested in so many topics from astronomy to gardening, constantly researching for more information. We loved his sense of humour!

Frank passed away suddenly at home. He is survived by his dear wife Dorreen, daughter Shirley (Garth), granddaughters Sara (Daniel) and Clare (Rodney) and great grandchildren Teagan, Kendall, Gibson and Macky. He was a wonderful, loving man who will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

Thank you so much to Dr. Street, Frank’s family physician for 17 years, to paramedics who did everything they could for Dad and for the kindness shown to us at the hospital on Sunday night.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to 100 Mile District General Hospital. A gathering to share memories will take place at a later date.
