July 20, 1923 - July 22, 2020
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ethel, who passed away peacefully on July 22, 2020, two days after her 97th birthday.
Ethel was predeceased by her husband Ernie and her brother Albert. She is survived by her sister Mary, sister-in-law Norma and nieces Arlene (Wayne), Marilyn (Al), as well as extended family and friends.
Ethel was born on July 20, 1923 in North Vancouver, where she resided until her and Ernie moved to Deka Lake in the later years. It was there that they enjoyed retirement and made so many long time and loyal friends.
In 2011 Ethel was relocated to 108 Mile Ranch where she spent her last years.
In her younger years she enjoyed the water, winning several awards for her swimming and became a junior champion swimmer for BC. She loved to read, knit, and always looked forward to lunch out with her friends.
Special thanks to Grace who took such good care of Ethel in her later years and to her many friends who kept in touch with her through their visits and phone calls.
