It is with great sadness that the family of Brenda Lynn Polkinghorne announce her peaceful passing at home, on May 3, 2022, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Brenda was born June 8, 1960, in Vancouver, BC to Donald and Gladys McLeod. She married her life partner, Brad Polkinghorne in Surrey, BC and together, they raised two children. The family settled in 100 Mile house, BC, where they have spent the past 25 years.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Brad, of 34 years; children, Kristy and Trevor; grandchildren, Hazel and Hayden; mother, Gladys McLeod; sisters, Debbie (Frank), and Janice (Dave), and many loving nieces and nephews. Brenda was predeceased by her father, Donald McLeod, in 1990.
Brenda will be fondly remembered by her caring, compassionate, and gentle nature. Those who knew her, loved her.
At Brenda's request, there will be no service. Her extended family will gather in her honor at a later date.
The family wishes to express their thanks and gratitude to the kind and compassionate support workers who lovingly cared for her in her final months.
