Barry passed away at 100 Mile House Hospital after a long battle with dementia at home and Fischer Place. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Barb.
Barry was predeceased by son Brian and survived by sister Joyce, son Rory (Michelle), and grandchildren Sophie and Tommy, as well as his beloved dog Wiley.
Barry was born in Vancouver and started a family in Kitimat. The young family moved to the Cariboo in 1977 to build a new homestead.
He worked for many years as a steel fabricator-welder for the logging industry. He loved fishing and camping with family, friends, and many very lucky dogs.
Many thanks to all the nurses and caregivers at Fischer Place for taking such good care of Barry these last few years.
Barry wished for donations to be sent to the SPCA and Alzheimer's Society of BC in lieu of a formal ceremony.
