Ardis Virginia Dowe (Clark) passed away peacefully June 13, 2021 surrounded by family.
She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Arthur Dowe, her daughter Judy (Dave) Simkins grandchildren Cori (Richard) Nelson great grandson Seth, Trevor (Apryl) McKenna great grandchildren Treston & Kiera, her son Gary (Lisa) Dowe grandson Greg (Adrienne) Dowe great grandchildren Mila & Grayson, granddaughter Jessica Dowe great granddaughters Jocelyn & Temprence, granddaughter Katelynn (Jeremy) Zelt great grandson Zayden, granddaughters Jordan & Baylee Shields, Penny Lynn (Hal) Spicer, Michelle (Cary) Yukiw, great grandsons Warren & Matthew, niece Kelly (Gord) Shields, her sister Lottie MacAloney & brother Wib Clark and many nieces & nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents Stewart Clark & Thelma Clark (Berry).
Ardis was born in Advocate Harbour NS, she & Arthur were married November 1951 & so their life adventures began. They were sort of nomads, moving wherever the work took them, living & working all over Nova Scotia, New Brunswick even a stint in Massachusetts before settling in BC in 1967.
Once again there were many moves within the province, with them finally settling in the 100 Mile House area.
Ardis enjoyed a full career with her claim to fame, as well as being a wonderful wife & mother & grandmother, of being a fabulous cook. She cooked in many logging & lumber camps, moving on to owning several cafés in the Cariboo.
She was an extremely hard worker, always on the go, she loved being with people & made many friends throughout her life.
