A plane hit obstacles before crash-landing in 100 Mile House on June 9, and it likely spared the lives of its three occupants.
The small Cessna hit a downdraft moments after takeoff and then clipped power lines, barely cleared traffic on Highway 97, smashed through a restaurant sign and came to rest against a brick wall minus one wing.
An occupant of the plane talks about his ordeal in the June 13 edition of the 100 Mile House Free Press.
