UPDATE (9 a.m., Nov. 28): Yesterday’s DriveBC notification about an incident Highway 97 at 70 Mile House was an error and there was no actual incident as per the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure’s communications manager Lisanne Bowness.
“The incorrect notification was intended to be for the Cache Creek incident,” said Bowness.

Update (1:30 p.m.): The highway is now reopened.
Original Story (12:55 a.m.): Highway 97 is closed in both directions after a vehicle incident at North Bonaparte Road in 70 Mile House.
The estimated time of opening is not available and an assessment is underway.
