The Cariboo Central Interior Poultry Producers Association (CCIPPA) hosted its fourth annual general meeting

in 100 Mile House on June 18.

It was a busy day that started with an open house for local residents to tour the mobile processing unit (MPU) in the morning with the AGM in the afternoon.

Returning to the board are Tina Johnson of 100 Mile House as president and Wylie Bystedt of Quesnel as vice-president. Margaret Bishop of 100 Mile House and Esther Perry of Prince George are also returning as directors at large.

New directors to the board are Del Myers of Prince George as treasurer, and Jim Glassford of Quesnel, Edward Gagne of 70 Mile House and Shawn Jennings of Quesnel as directors at large.

"We are so excited to have eight committed individuals working on our board at this time,” says Johnson.

“With a number of projects nearing completion, this is a great time for us to be looking forward, as we move from being a project-oriented organization to a service-oriented organization."

We are also looking forward to our Third Annual Forum on Oct. 16, she adds.

“We are just beginning to plan this event during which we will combine some great speakers with a general meeting to discuss this year’s slaughter season results and to plan next year’s schedule and marketing strategy. We encourage everyone to mark this date and look for future information about this event."
