100 Mile RCMP responded to 103 complaints and calls for service during the past week.
Long weekend summary:
100 Mile House Traffic Services and 100 Mile House RCMP maintained a presence on the highways during the long weekend.
• Overall, 60 tickets and 33 warnings were issued. The majority of these offences were speed related.
• There were five incidents of excessive speed. These speeds ranged from 46 to 64 km/h over the posted speed limit, which resulted in a violation ticket being issued under the Motor Vehicle Act and the driver's vehicle being towed and impounded for seven days.
• Four drivers were issued violation tickets for being either unlicensed or prohibited from driving.
