Tools stolen

On Feb. 21, 100 Mile RCMP received a report of a break-and-enter at a residence under construction in the 7000 block of Johnstone Road near Bridge Lake.

A number of tools were stolen, including a table saw and a mitre saw.

Anyone having information about this break-and-enter is asked to call the 100 Mile House RCMP at 250-395-2456 or call CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

Drinking and drifting

On Feb. 21, 100 Mile RCMP responded to a two-vehicle collision at Canim Lake First Nations reserve.

The driver of a Ford Aerostar van drifted out of the westbound lane when a Chevrolet pickup truck was attempting to pass. The van then lost control and went into a ditch.

The female driver of the Aerostar van was determined to be impaired by alcohol. She was detained and returned to the 100 Mile House RCMP detachment office, where two breath samples of 220 and 210 mg% were obtained.

Charges of impaired driving over the legal limit are being recommended to Crown against a 28-year-old female resident of Canim Lake.

The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.

There were approximately $5,000 damages between the two vehicles. The investigation into this matter is continuing.
