A 100 Mile House man will be headed to trial in the B.C. Supreme Court in Williams Lake.
Michael Martel is charged with first-degree murder for the death of Vesna Dumstrey-Soos in 100 Mile House in January of 2016.
Crown filed a direct indictment with the Williams Lake Law Courts for Supreme Court.
The investigation into the death of Dumstrey-Soos started when 100 Mile House RCMP received a call around 11:30 a.m. on Jan. 4, 2016, and they were asked to check on her welfare when she didn’t show up for work.
Martel is set to appear back in court on March 8 for a pre-trial conference.
