Parkside Art Gallery recently welcomed the South Cariboo Weavers, Spinners and Fibre Artists Guild's show, Fibre to Art and everything in between.

The show's "cozy and comfortable" factor is high with a variety-packed display of hand spun yarns, sculptures, clothing, accessories, wall art, weavings of all descriptions and everything else imaginable that is handcrafted with fibre.

One of the side rooms features a charming display they're calling "Cariboo Contemporary, the Handcrafted Home." It showcases how tastefully a room in a home can be decorated using handmade furniture and accessories.

Guild members have invested a lot of thought and planning in the show, allowing the eclectic collection of earthy art to seemingly embrace you with its virtual arms and draw you in when you walk through the door.

The show is as interesting as it is educational, with static displays that include the art of dying yarns with natural ingredients.

Make time to take in this feel good, enlightening show, which runs until Nov. 5.

Parkside hours are Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. The gallery is located at 401 Cedar Ave., in the bright blue building.
