Parkside Art Gallery reopens on Jan. 29 after a month long shut-down.

Opening day will feature an artists’ reception from 2 to 4 p.m. for the new show, “Into the Limelight.”

It’s a collection of paintings and encaustics by local artists, Denise Swift, Carolyne Herperger, Shirley Williams and Gisela Gruning. It will be displayed in the main gallery until March 5.

The Student Gallery will feature works from Forest Grove Elementary School during the month of February.

Parkside will partner with the Lower Bridge Lake Watershed Stewardship Society to bring the show, “Water is Life,” to the gallery from March 11 to April 9.

The public is invited to make submissions for the show and the deadline is Feb. 25.
