Tickets are flying fast.
The popular annual Ducks Unlimited banquet and auction has a new venue this year – the 100 Mile Community Hall, and anyone looking to attend the 31st annual event on Oct. 17 should buy tickets now.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and dinner is served at 6, followed by the auction.
The 2014 event sold out and raised more than $22,000 for wetland conservation.
Tickets are $40 per person and available at Donex Pharmacy, Life Cycle Financial, 108 Supermarket, Royal Bank and the 100 Mile House Free Press.
More volunteers are "warmly welcomed,” says organizer Chris Nickless.
A wide variety of great merchandise will be on the auction block, along with plenty of prizes to be awarded, he adds.
"There will be something up for grabs for every member of the family, including the kids."
