The Thompson-Nicola Regional District released a new schedule of hours and days for the transfer station.
This summer, it will operate Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Election Day
The voting day for the federal election will be May 2 at the Seventy Mile Access Centre (SMAC).
The polls will be open at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. All voters must bring photo ID with them.
SMAC meeting
The Seventy Mile Access Centre will hold a general meeting May 11 at 10 a.m. at the centre. Everyone is welcome.
Genealogy
If you are researching your family or thinking about genealogy, you might be interested in the workshop being held May 28 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the 100 Mile House Branch Library.
There will be two guest speakers who will be covering military, civil registration, parish registers and cemeteries.
