Summer Solstice coming to Centennial Park

Workout fundraiser featuring Zumba, booty camp and yoga

Centennial Park is going to be ground zero for working out and having fun at the Summer Solstice Fundraiser in the Park event on June 21 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Hosted by the South Cariboo Rec. Centre, there will be three workout classes, including Family Zumba by Gale Ogden, Booty Camp by Deanna Deacon, and Solstice Yoga by Kate Todd and Sonja Ramsay.

Several raffle prizes will be available and child minders will be available for parents.

Event organizer Deacon says she wants this event to be informal and beneficial to all involved.

My idea is to bring adults together to recognize the variety of fitness classes our community offers and to raise money and awareness for the wonderful work the South Cariboo Early Childhood Development (SCECD) does.”

Admittance to each class will be a $10 donation. The funds raised will go towards the SCECD, which will be allocated to events and resources for youth up to six years old in 100 Mile House.
